Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Muhammad Yasin Malik has said that a massive military operation has been launched under the garb of municipality and panchayat elections in occupied Kashmir.
In a statement in Srinagar, he said many resistance leaders and activists had been arrested, slapped with draconian Public Safety Act and shifted to jails outside Kashmir.
Slamming the occupation authorities over his detention, Yasin Malik said that voices of dissent are being crushed with full force ahead of local bodies’ elections.
Meanwhile, senior All Parties Hurriyat Conference leader Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, urged the International Committee of Red Cross, Asia Watch and other world human rights organizations to take serious note of the miserable plight of the Kashmiri political prisoners.
