Clean Pakistan campaign: PTI government takes yet another initiative

ISLAMABAD - PTI government has decided to take yet another initiative for clean Pakistan campaign.

PTI government will launch an aggressive campaign on all forms of media for educating people and motivating them for participation in the upcoming ‘Clean Pakistan’ campaign.

“We will appoint at least six national cleanliness ambassadors, one from each province, Azad Jammu Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan and will try to engage religious leaders, celebrities from sports, arts and any other fields to give impetus to Clean for Pakistan movement, after launch by PM Imran Khan,” the PM’s adviser said while chairing a preparatory meeting of Clean Pakistan initiative held at ministry of climate change.

Malik Amin Aslam Khan said that ‘Clean Pakistan’ movement, which will be inaugurated on October 8 by PM Imran Khan, will have a country wide engagement of all Pakistanis especially local communities, village councils, provincial and federal departments.

“We will request all Pakistanis, private sector, NGOs, religious seminaries, trade associations, workers associations and people from all walks of life to contribute by participating in this noble cause to ensure personal hygiene and to develop a better image as a healthy nation,” said the PM’s adviser.

Amin Aslam Khan said that we will adopt the world’s best practices being adopted by other countries successfully which will encompass creation of open defecation free environment, building of toilets on community help basis, provision of appropriate drainage and sewerage system especially to the villages through local governments.
