PSL Final: PM-COAS vow to provide fool proof security

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Saturday chaired a high-level security meeting in which security arrangements for PSL final match were discussed.

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa once again assured the premier of every possible security cooperation for the much anticipated cricket match that is set to be hosted at Qaddafi Stadium in Lahore tomorrow.

Besides, it was agreed during the meeting that war against extremism and terrorism shall continue and Operation Radd-ul-Fasad will be pursued further.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was reported as saying that extremism and terrorism will be rooted out after taking all stakeholders into confidence. 

In addition to security situation inside the country, bilateral Pak-Afghan relations and other important security issues were also discussed.

The meeting was also attended by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar and DG ISI Lt. General Naveed Mukhtar.
