China - US naval joint drills in Pacific

BEIJING: China announced to join US naval drills in Pacific that would be held in Hawaii in June and July despite of increasing tensions between both countries on South China Sea issue.
China’s foreign ministry claimed to send five ships including two warships and a hospital ship that will participate in live fire, anti-piracy, search and rescue and other drills.
Recently, China expressed anger over US military patrol near Chinese islands in South China Sea and warned US to stay away from the matter.
Approximately $5 trillion trade passes through the disputed sea which has rival claims from East Asian Nations but China claims the whole.
China is also building a Paracel chain of artificial island in South China Sea to control it.
