MUMBAI - International star Priyanka Chopra <link>has been stamped down with a notice by the BMC (Bombay Municipal Corporation) for unauthorised construction at commercial premise at Oshiwara in Andheri (West).

The illegal construction in the premises of her office and another adjoining commercial premise which she has rented out has landed her in a pool.

According to BMC officials, they have received five complaints from people who visited the Charisma Beauty Spa and Salon.

In their complaint, they alleged illegal alterations in the spa, including putting in an unauthorised mezzanine floor.

Unauthorized erection of full height partition cabins by ply-sheet and glass walls and unauthorized amalgamation, were among other felonious constructions, found in both the commercial premises.

The BMC found the violations during a check and has sent two separate notices to the owners-occupants of both the premises.

BMC has now asked to remove the unauthorised altercations and restore the original structure. If orders are not followed, the BMC said that it will demolish the sctructure after a month.

As quoted by Times of India, a senior BMC official said, "We earlier wrote, asking them to regularize the unauthorized changes after paying the penalty and remove the other illegal changes which cannot be approved. But they didn’t bother to pay any attention after which we sent them the notice under the Maharashtra Regional Town Planning Act (MRTP). If they fail to reply again, we will demolish the illegal constructions at both the premises."

In the past, Bollywood actors like Anushka Sharma <link> and Amitabh Bachchan <link>have also received BMC notice for illegal construction.

Last year, Anushka was slapped with a notice from BMC, following a complaint received by the civic body regarding unauthorised installation done by the actress at the common passage of the 20th floor of her apartment in Versova, Andheri.

Amitabh too was issued a notice on the sidelines of Monopolies and Restrictive Trade Practices (MTPC) for his new bungalow in Goregaon
