Federal Government reveals date for re opening of universities across Pakistan

The education ministers’ conference has decided to reopen universities across the country on February 1st 2021.

The education ministers held an important meeting today to make a final decision regarding the reopening of educational institutions that were closed in November to control the spread of the coronavirus in the country.

The federal government announced to reopen all Grade 9 to grade 12 educational institutions from 11 January after the spell of one month of online classes and winter vacations. While grade 1 to grade eight classes will be reopened from January 20.

Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mehmood announced the closure of all educational institutions including schools, colleges, universities, and religious seminaries. The decision was made during the Inter-Provincial Education Ministers Conference held on November 23.

Mahmood said educational activities would turn to online education and online classes and educational work would continue till December 24.
