RAWALPINDI: Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has said that it is neither 2001 nor a dictator is ruling Pakistan.
Reacting to the threat of US President Donald Trump on Wednesday, he said that they have been fighting another’s war for the last 17 years.
“Had there been a democratic government in Pakistan at the time of 9/11 it would have not sold its services,” he maintained.
The former prime minister said that the US president’s tweet on the eve of New Year is regrettable.
Earlier talking to the media after hearing in an accountability court, Nawaz Sharif said that the scary people are striving to change the reality and give it the facet of their choice.
He said that the ‘loved ones’ should not be imposed by giving a pat. “We will place all proofs and evidence before the nation if behind-the-curtain activities did not stop,” he said.
Meanwhile, the court recorded the statements of three witnesses in the NAB references filed against the Sharif family.
The court also summoned six more witnesses for recording their statements.
Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz and Capt (retd) Safdar appeared before court.
She gave six chits to Nawaz Sharif instead of Asif Kirmani.
PML-N leader Pervaiz Rashid, Marriyum Aurangzeb, Talal Chaudhry, Daniyal Aziz, Dr Tariq Fazal and others were also present.
