OIC strongly responds over additional troops deployment in IOK, use of cluster bombs by India

*RIYADH – The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly responds over additional troops deployment in IOK, use of cluster bombs by India.*

*OIC has expressed deep concern about the worsening situation in the Indian-held Jammu and Kashmir (IHK).*

In a statement, the OIC general secretariat of today said it is concerned about reports of deployment of *additional paramilitary forces* and use of banned *cluster bombs* by the Indian forces to target civilians.

It also expressed sadness over civilian casualties resulting from ceasefire violations carried out by Indian forces across the Line of Control (LoC) and expresses solidarity with the people of Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

The OIC reiterated its call upon the international community to rise up to its responsibility for the peaceful resolution of Jammu and Kashmir dispute through the democratic method of a free and impartial plebiscite in accordance with relevant UN Security Council resolutions and aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

Foreign Minister (FM) Shah Mehmood Qureshi telephoned *OIC Secretary General Dr Yousuf* link Ahmed Al-Othaimeen and asked to take immediate notice of Indian brutalities and persecution in Occupied Kashmir.

In a telephonic conversation with the OIC Secretary General on Sunday, the minister said use of brute force by India on unarmed Kashmiri people is extremely condemnable.
