ISLAMABAD – OIC Secretary General has responded over Pakistan request on Occupied Kashmir against Indian Military atrocities.
Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Sunday has asked Organization of Islamic Cooperation to take immediate notice of Indian brutalities and persecution in occupied Kashmir.
In a telephonic conversation with OIC Secretary General Dr. Yousuf Ahmed Al-Othaimeen on Sunday, the minister said use of brute force by India on unarmed Kashmiri people is extremely condemnable.
He said India has been violating international laws by unleashing violence and atrocities against Kashmiris. Orders to Hindu Yatrees and tourists to leave Kashmir are also generating anxiety and fear, he added.
Secretary General of OIC assured the Foreign Minister for taking notice on situation and to extend full cooperation.
Earlier, Shah Mehmood Qureshi said India is jeopardizing regional peace through its war hysteria by consistently violating human rights. Kashmir is escaping from the hands of India, he continued.
He said international community should take notice of violations committed by Indian forces, adding Pakistan would consider other options now after India rejected US mediation on Kashmir issue.
