Is Pakistan head coach Mickey Arthur being given two years extension in contract?

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan head coach Mickey Arthur may be given two years extension in contract upon his own request as he has requested to extend his contract.

Pakistan Head Coach Mickey Arthur, during the cricket committee meeting on Friday, requested the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to extend his coaching contract by two years.

According to sources, Arthur has also suggested the PCB to appoint a local coach as his assistant, who can be groomed under him and can eventually take over when his contract expires.

The PCB is also considering taking the advise of senior cricketers with regards to Arthur’s future with the Pakistan team. This can work against Arthur as several Pakistan cricketers are not satisfied with his performance as the head coach.

They believe that the 51-year-old is not very helpful during difficult times and refrains from accepting responsibility.
