Karachi, Pakistan's commercial capital hit by fuel crisis

KARACHI: A crisis of petrol and diesel in likely in Karachi as strike by Oil Tankers Contractors Association (OTCA) entered fourth day.

According to our correspondent, the fuel supply is disturbed in the city, with nearly 30 per cent filling stations running short of fuel.

Chairman Petroleum Dealers Association claimed that 30 per cent filling stations have been closed due to non-supply from all depots.

The association has been observing countrywide strike against ‘double general sales tax’.

On the other hand, sources said the OTCA has allowed partial movement of oil products to pave the way for talks with the federal government.
