US sources on Saturday told TOLOnews that the United States Ambassador to Pakistan David Hale did not tell a Pakistani official that President Donald Trump did not blame Pakistan for the failure of the war on terror.
According to news, Pakistan’s National Security Adviser (NSA) Lt Gen. Nasseer Khan Janjua reportedly said that Hale had said President Donald Trump did not blame Pakistan for the failure of the War on Terror in Afghanistan.
However, US sources told TOLOnews that Hale had not said this.
The US envoy had been misquoted following a meeting with Janjua where they discussed Trump’s new strategy on Afghanistan and South Asia.
