Red warrants to be issued for Pervaiz Musharaf: Sindh Government

SUKKUR: The Sindh government has decided to approach federal government for issuance of red warrants for the former President Pervaiz Musharaf in the Benazir Bhutto murder case.

Sindh government will request the federal government to get General (retd) Pervez Musharraf arrested by Interpol in Benazir Bhutto murder case, said Sindh Information Minister Nasir Hussain Shah.

Speaking to the media at his residence in Rohri on Sunday, the provincial information minister said attempts were made to eradicate evidence after Benazir Bhutto’s martyrdom. He added they were also wary of the terrorists acquitted by the court, therefore, were discussing the matter with legal experts.

The minister maintained they would request the federal government to arrest Musharraf through Interpol.

While talking about Karachi rains, Nasir Hussain said mud-slinging was not the right way to go about the issue as everyone contributes to damages. He added they will have to work together in areas affected by damaged.
