LAHORE – Former law minister of Punjab Rana Sana Ullah lands in hot waters as Police Report has declared him the mastermind of Model Town case, media has reported.
Police sources have claimed that former Punjab law minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Rana Sanaullah was the mastermind of Model Town carnage.
The sources told that Sanaullah had directed to launch operation against the Model Town protesters despite then home secretary Azam Suleman’s opposition.
A case against ex-minister is also expected to be reopened.
Lahore High Court (LHC) had turned down NAB plea seeking summons of ex-prime minister Nawaz Sharif, former Chief Minister of Punjab (CM) Shehbaz Sharif and ten other ministers in a case pertaining to Model Town carnage.
Ex-Inspector General of Punjab Police (IG) Mushtaq Sukhera was directed to appear in the court.
