Former ISI Chief petition: New developments reported in IHC

ISLAMABAD - New developments have been reported in theIslamabad High Court regarding petition of the former ISI Chief.

IHC issued notices to the federal government, Ministry of Defence and an official of the Ministry of Interior on a petition.

Former Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) chief Lieutenant General (retd) Asad Durrani had approached IHC for removing his name from the ECL.

Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani issued notices to the officials arrayed in the petition while hearing Durrani’s plea.

Durrani had requested the court to quash a memorandum placing his name on the Exit Control List (ECL). While issuing notices, Justice Kayani directed the respondents to file para-wise comments by next date of hearing – October 18.

The ex-three-star general said that his sole intention to travel is to pursue his professional commitments and visit his children living abroad.
