Khawaja Asif challenges disqualification in SC

ISLAMABAD: Former foreign minister and PML-n leader Khawaja Asif has challenged his disqualification in the supreme court. Khawaja Asif was disqualified by Islamabad high court on April 27 for failing to disclose his foreign work permit in the nomination papers.
Khawaja Asif has maintained in his appeal that the high court did not take into account the UAE laws. He maintained that the exclusion of foreign bank account in his nomination papers was unintentional. He, however, contended that the nomination papers include his salary drawn from UAE company.
