While addressing a press conference here at Monday in Lahore, Inzamam ul Haq said that 35 players were invited in training camp for England tour while Shahid Afridi, Omer Akmal and Ahmad Shahzad have been dropped from squad. Omer Akmal and Ahmad Shahzad were dropped over the issue of discipline.

He further added that training camp for England tour would be set up in Abbottabad from 14 May to June 4 while players fitness would be fully concentrated in the training camp but violation of discipline would not be tolerated at any cost.

While answering a question over the inclusion of Afridi in team, he clarified that Pakistan team would play only 6 T20 matches in next 14 months so that’s why Afridi has not been included in T20 squad while youngsters should be given a chance in this format of cricket.

Cricket career of Shahid Afridi has not ended and he would be included in team if Afridi performs in domestic cricket. Talking about Salman Butt, Chief Selector said that he is a good player and performed very well in domestic cricket but I think he came back in cricket after a long period of six years so he should play 4 days matches for few months in order to come back in international cricket.
