Panama Case JIT has failed: PML-N

Hassan Nawaz, the younger son of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, is recording his statement before the Joint Investigation Team, formed to probe into Panama Case.

Earlier on arrival at the federal judicial academy, he was accompanied by some PML (N) leaders.

It is the third time that Hassan Nawaz is appearing before the JIT.

Strict security arrangements have been put in place in and around the premises of the judicial academy.

It also merits mentioning here that the Finance Minister Ishaq Dar is also to appear before the JIT in the afternoon.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif have already recorded their statements before the JIT.

Hussain Nawaz and Maryam Nawaz will also appear before the investigation tomorrow and Wednesday respectively.

Talking to the media persons outside the Federal Judicial Academy, PML (N) senior leader Asif Kirmani said the family of the prime minister has submitted attested documents before the JIT.

He noted that the report of the JIT will remain incomplete as long as it does not record the statement of the Qatari prince.

He said Qatari prince has repeatedly invited JIT to record his statement but the probing team has not shown any intent towards that end.

He said JIT has failed to carry out the investigation process as per its mandate.

Asif Kirmani said PML (N) leadership will not allow any conspiracy succeed against the progress and development of the country.
