Indian Skipper Virat Kohli made history in the World of Cricket
NEW DELHI - Indian Skipper Virat Kohli has made history in the World of Cricket.
Kohli became the fastest batsman to 19,000 international runs during his knock of 23 runs on Day one of the ongoing fourth Test against Australia at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Thursday.
Kohli, who reached the milestone in just 399 innings, beat legends like Sachin Tendulkar (432 innings), Brian Lara (433 innings), Ricky Ponting (444 innings) and Jacques Kallis (458 innings).
While Kohli's landmark of 19,000 international runs came Down Under, his 18,000-run milestone came in England and he was in South Africa when he reached the 17,000-run mark in international cricket and both the milestones happened just last year and this shows he clearly is in a different league right now among his other competitors.
Kohli, meanwhile, was the 12th batsman overall and just third Indian after Rahul Dravid and Tendulkar to enter the 19,000-run mark in international cricket.
