WASHINGTON: Hillary Clinton has won the Iowa caucus by a thin margin of 0.2%.
Monday’s Democratic caucuses in Iowa ended in a virtual tie and Hillary was declared winner on a toss.
Clinton was awarded 699.57 and Sanders 695.49 equivalents in the final counting.
The Sanders camp declared the result a virtual tie but Clinton’s announced that Clinton has won.
Both the leaders addressed their supporters after the result. US Presidential campaign has formally kicked off with the low caucus and tough competition is expected in both Democratic and Republican camps.
