Pakistan elected as member of UNESCO Executive Board

ISLAMBAD: Pakistan has been elected as member of UNESCO Executive Board. Pakistan got 135 votes out of 183. As per the statement of Federal Minister for Education Baligh Ur Rehman, it is a great honor for Pakistan. He said in his statement that it is the result of effective steps of government to promote education that Pakistan has been elected in UNESCO Executive Board member. He further said that now Pakistan is able to play its effective role to promote education and cultural activities. Pakistan can also participate in the policies of UNESCO in domain of education, culture and social uplift. This achievement is the prove of our international commitment to resolve the issues of education and social uplift at broad level.
