CJP rejects PPP petition to turn down Speaker NA ruling on vote of no confidence

A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Omar Ata Bandial held an emergency hearing of the suo motu notice on the new situation arising out of the no-confidence motion.
The CJP turned down the application submitted by People’s Party for over ruling the judgement of the Speaker National Assembly.
Notices were issued to the Home Secretary, Secretary of Defense and Attorney General and the hearing was adjourned till Monday.
The Chief Justice remarked that the judiciary had to take notice of what happened in the Assembly. The law and order situation should not deteriorate. All political parties should ensure peace. No institution should take any illegal action
