Pakistan Climate Change Authority being formed under new Act

ISLAMABAD: (APP) Minister for Climate Change Zahid Hamid Monday met with Country Head, UN-Habitat, Ms. Bella Evidents.
She informed the minister about some development projects of UN-Habitat in Pakistan, said a press release issued here.
The minister said that Pakistan's cities were progressing rapidly for implementation of these projects.
The UN-Habitat teams will go in different provinces and meet focal persons.
Zahid Hamid also informed her about recent developments taken in climate change.
He highlighted that a climate change council and authority would be established under newly passed climate change act.
