Indian Army opens fire on protesting Kashmiris on Eid, martyrs one youth

SRINAGAR: In occupied Kashmir, in their fresh act of state terrorism the Indian troops martyred one youth on Eid-ul-Azha day in Kulgam district, on Saturday.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the youth identified as Ishfaq Ahmad Paddar, was killed by Indian forces during crackdown operation at Tantray Pora in the district.

Dozens of people were injured after Indian police used brute force and fired pellets on pro-freedom protesters in Srinagar, Islamabad, Sopore, Bandipore, Bijbehara, Kulgam, Shopian, and other areas.

The Indian forces also fired pellets and bullets on Nimazis at Eidgah in Srinagar, Eidgah Achahipora and Eidgah Janglat Mandi in Islamabad areas.

The protesters were raising anti India slogans hoisted Pakistan flags in different areas.

On the other hand, the authorities have illegally detained top resistance leadership to prevent them from offering Eid prayers.
