Addressing the inaugural ceremony of Malamjabba Chair Lift Project, he said that our province has been richly endowed regarding tourist attracting places and provincial government is endeavoring to utilize them for the promotion of tourism and environment sector. The ceremony among others was attended by PTI Chairman, Imran Khan , provincial ministers MPAs and elites of the area.
Chief Minister said that a handsome amount of Rs 2 billion are being spend for the promotion of tourism industry adding a total of ten tourist destinations would be developed to attract visitors. He said that authorities on the pattern of Galyat Development Authority would be established for executing projects of international standards for tourists.
He said that tourism industry cannot be revived without increasing forest land and for the purpose provincial government has started a massive drive to plant one billion trees. He said trees are of supreme importance in controlling flood, decease glaciers melting and help developing a pleasant environment.
He informed that consultant has been blacklisted for misappropriation in construction of Malamjabba Road while the decisions regarding contractor would be taken in 15 days. He said that PESCO authorities would be contacted to ensure provision of electricity to the project at the earliest.
KP CM said that Malamjabba festival would be made an annual event like Kalam and Shindur festivals adding it would attract tourist and procure our province with countless opportunities of progress and development.
Highlighting the performance of provincial government on the occasion, he said that unprecedented steps have been taken for introducing reforms in public departments including police, health and education adding results of our efforts would be fruitful and far-reaching.
PTI chairman also spoke in the ceremony and said that provincial government would create employment opportunities for youth by utilizing and development of its resources. Later, he formally inaugurated the project by unveiling the plaque.
