SC directs to remove encroachments in Bani Gala

Supreme Court of Pakistan has directed the government to remove the encroachments on the land of Korang Nullah in Bani Gala Islamabad. 

A three-member Bench headed by Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar gave the direction while hearing illegal constructions in Banigala case in Islamabad on Monday.

The court disposed of the matter regarding encroachments; however it declared that hearing into the matters about illegal constructions, pollution and protection of botanical garden will continue.

The Additional Attorney General told the court that there are massive encroachments on the 613 Kanal lands of Korang Nullah and Federal Ombudsman, Metropolitan Corporation have prepared similar reports in this regard.

The Court asked Babar Awan, Counsel for applicant Imran Khan, that PTI is in government in the country and it is responsibility of the government to remove encroachments.
