Massive anti encroachemnet operation launched across Lahore

LAHORE - Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has launched one of the biggest anti encroachemnet operation across the provincial capital.

As per the media report, a massive operation against the illegal occupants and land mafia across the city has been started on Tuesday on special directions of CM Punjab.

Local media reported that LDA aimed at retrieving 31,687 kanal land owned by state, 280 acres land of forest department, 8 plots in the Walled City, 32 plots owned by MCL and 636 kanal land of LDA during the ongoing operations.

Speaking to the media, Deputy Commissioner Lahore Anwar-ul-Haq said that action will be taken without discrimination and temporary and permanent setup in markets will be demolished to take the land in possession.

According to reports, the anti-encroachment operation will be started from Sabzazar truck stand, Anarkali, Willingdon Road and Urdu Bazaar and then extended to other parts of the city, adding that notices have been sent to the illegal occupants.
