Afghan Premier League: Pakistan's official response over players participation

*ISLAMABAD - Pakistan's official response over players participation in the Afghan Premier league has surfaced.*

*Pakistan has refused its players permission to take part in the inaugural Afghanistan Premier League.*

On Tuesday, the Pakistan Cricket Board stated that only retired players can participate.

Kamran Akmal, Mohammad Irfan, Iftikhar Ahmed had sought no-objection certificates from the cricket board to take part in the league.

They had requested the PCB to review its selection policies.

Mohammad Hafeez, Wahab Riaz and Faheem Ashraf will not be available due to Pakistan’s upcoming series against Australia this month.

Retired cricketers Misbah-ul-Haq and Shahid Afridi will be seen in action in the cricket league which begins on October 5 in the United Arab Emirates.
