India will buy Apache and Chinook Helicopters from USA


NEW DELHI: India was negotiating the said deal since 2013, primarily delays were caused over the pricing issue for per unit price and the armament and avionics of the Helicopters. India finally gave go ahead for the said deal and Prime Minister Modi is likely to sign the deal with US President Obama during his current visit to USA on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly session. The contract gives provision of additional 11 Apache Helicopters along with 4 additional Chinook heavy weight lifting Helicopters if ordered by the Indian Government. Apache Attack Helicopters are graded as best in the said category and also war tested in Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan by the US Forces. The attack helicopter is equally capable of operations at night and hell fire missiles make it further lethal in the battle field.
