717 pilgrims including five Pakistanis martyred in Mina Stampede

MAKKAH: On Thursday September 24, an unfortunate incidence occurred in Mina, Saudi Arabia when pilgrims were moving towards Mina for the last ritual of the Holy Hajj 2015 on Eid Day. The incident occurred near the Maktab no. 93 reserved for the Muslims of Al Jazier on Road No 204. A group of Hujjaj broke the wall bifurcating the place hence resulting into stampede. Approximately 863 Pilgrims are reportedly seriously injured and the death toll may cross 1000 according to the Saudi Official resources. 200 Ambulances were placed there for the rescue services which immediately took the injured and dead to the nearby Hospitals and Rescue operations are still going on by the Saudi Health Ministry. Meanwhile Saudi Interior Minister has formed a committee to dig out the cause of the unfortunate incident and fix the responsibility of the incident.
