Responding to a matter raised in National Assembly, the minister said, “I am among the members who are paying the highest income tax and paid Rs 12.4 million during the current year.”
Hammad Azhar said he had paid Rs 12.5 million tax during last year and Rs 8 million earlier. He said that he would also contact with Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) in this regard.
The minister said he and Member National Assembly Najeeb Haroon were not even taking salary and TA/DA from the government.
