ISLAMABAD: A review petition was filed in the Supreme Court of Pakistan, challenging the apex court's April 20 landmark verdict in Panama Papers case and seeking formation of a probe commission instead of the Joint Investigation Agency (JIT) to hold a probe into corruption allegations against the ruling family.
The constitutional petition moved by Watan Party's Barrister Zafarullah Khan also prayed the court to expunge its remarks in the verdict related to Mario Puzo's novel The Godfather.
A larger bench of the Supreme Court headed by Justice Asif Saaed Khosa had conducted hearing into the Panama Papers case.
