Dawn Leaks petition: SC announces verdict

ISLAMABAD – Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Mian Saqib Nisar has announced the verdict in the Dawn Leaks petition filed in the SC.
SC on Friday dismissed a petition seeking to make Dawn Leaks report public.
The petition was filed by the retired army officers seeking to make Dawn Leaks report public pleading the court to reject the objections raised by the registrar office.
The CJP heard the case in his chamber and dismissed the petition upholding the objections leveled by the registrar office.
Earlier, Brigadier (r) Muhammad Arabi had filed the petition with regard to the Dawn Leaks case.
The petitioner had made former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and former interior minister Chaudhry Nisar a party in the case.
