Women protection bill is against the constitution of Pakistan: Chairman CII

ISLAMABAD: The meeting of the Council of Islamic Ideology of Pakistan was held under the Chairmanship of Moulana Muhammad Khan Sherani here at Wednesday in Islamabad. The matter of Women Protection Bill came under discussion in the meeting.
As per details, affairs related to formation of Quran Board, end of interest and the use of dead body in scientific research were included in the agenda of meeting but the CII meeting reviewed the Women Protection Bill rather than the agenda of the meeting.
The participants of the meeting said that Women Protection Bill is against the constitution and ideology of Pakistan.
The meeting decided to review the copy of the Bill. Speaking at the occasion, CII Chairman said that council will formulate recommendations in next meeting after reviewing the Women Protection Bill.
