MQM presents shadow budget for next fiscal year

KARACHI: While presenting shadow budget for next fiscal year, MQM senior leader Farooq Sattar said that his party would oppose if indirect tax is increased by government.

While giving briefing over his shadow budget here at today in Karachi, he pointed out that vision of Quaid-e-Azam founder of Pakistan has been included in the budget recommendations while it has been empathized in shadow budget to overcome energy crisis instead of metro train and buses.

He demanded in his shadow budget to increase the funds of Law Enforcement Agencies in order to combat scourge of terrorism effectively.

He further added that import of luxury items should be banned while measures would be taken over the misuse of Afghan transit trade.

While suggesting to focus on middle class people in rural and urban cities in budget, he said that tax system should be equal for all and economy would not strengthen by imposing taxes on poor and working class people. Sattar said.

Karachi should be included in all national policies because this city has importance of economic hub of Pakistan. Sattar explained.
