ISLAMABAD: (APP) Pakistan will hold second Pocket Cinema Film Festival (PCFF) to hold competition for smartphone film-makers and to reward their skills and talent.

First held in 2015, the Festival is an international event which invites aspiring film-makers to showcase their film-making talent through smartphones.

It is a one of its kind film festival going to be held in Pakistan on December 26 this year and after tremendous response last year, it is expected that it will bring in a large number of participants.

Famous Pakistani film makers and celebrities will be present at the event, looking forward to provide mentorship opportunities to a new generation of aspiring film-makers.

The organizers on Friday said those who wish to become part of the competition should take a look at the rules and regulations.

Firstly, all submitted videos need to be original, should not infringe any copyrights and be appropriate for all ages. The length of the videos being submitted should be of 3 min-4 min duration for first short-film category, 7 min-10 min for second short-film category and 4-5 minutes long for music videos.   The use of a mobile device is necessary for the competitors.

There is no restriction on the genre and editing of the video on films.

The last date to submit entries is November 25 and the final deadline is December 5.

PCFF is offering its participants more incentive when they submit their films. They will be provided a payout of 20 % if they become part of PCFF's YouTube monetization programme.

Apart from the money, it also gives PCFF participants another channel to promote their movies.

The submissions have already begun from June. The participants and winners of the festival will be provided packages through the event partners and sponsors which also includes collaboration with international film making companies.
