Justice Asif Saeed Khosa appointed as Chief Justice of Pakistan
ISLAMABAD - Justice Asif Saeed Khosa has been appointed as the new Chief Justice of Pakistan.
As per the media report, President of Pakistan Arif Alvi on Wednesday gave approval for the appointment of Justice Asif Saeed Khosa as the chief justice of Pakistan, the Ministry of Law said in a statement.
The ministry said that Justice Khosa, who is the senior most judge of the Supreme Court, will take charge as the chief justice on January 18.
The incumbent Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Saqib Nisar will retire from his post on January 17.
