South Korea welcomes North Korean leader's New Year speech

North Korea's leader Kim Jong-un says a nuclear launch button is always on his table and warned the US will never be able to start a war. 

In a televised New Year speech, he said the entire US is within range of North Korean nuclear weapons.

He also offered an olive branch to South Korea, saying he is “open to dialogue” with Seoul. He said North Korea may send a team to the Winter Olympics in Seoul.

Meanwhile, South Korea’s welcomed Kim Jong-un’s New Year speech where he raised the possibility of sending a delegation to the upcoming Winter Olympic Games.
