Rape of student: demo against police in Multan

MULTAN: Students took to street in protest against the police for a delay in the arrest of accused of raping a student and making the video.
MNA Jamshed Dasti also participated in the protest. The protesters also burnt tyres and staged a sit-in at the university gate.
They said that the police had arrested innocent people instead of the responsible.
A Bahauddin Zakariya University student said that she was harassed, repeatedly raped and blackmailed by a group of students and teachers.
Police said that they had registered a case against a lecturer, a student and his four friends. They said it appeared that the men had raped other students as well. The complainant said she had informed the university administration but no action followed.
