ISLAMABAD - Unconditional dialogue with Afghan leadership is right step towards improvement in Pak-Afghan relations. A high-level delegation from Pakistan would be visiting Afghanistan to hold first meeting of Afghanistan-Pakistan Action Plan for Solidarity.
The support of United States in this regard would also be appreciable. Tehmina Janjua will hold constructive and meaningful discussions with Afghanistan on all issues including counterterrorism, peace and reconciliation and repatriation of refugees.
For regional peace and stability the cooperation between Kabul and Islamabad is vital and both the neighboring countries should work together to deal with menace of terrorism through intelligence sharing.”
Brig. (Retd.) Tipu Sultan A Defense Analyst said that “the top agenda of the meeting will be to find out the ways to eliminate the menace of terrorism and to work together for ensuring peace and stability in Afghanistan.
The achievements of Pakistan in war against terrorism are phenomenal. If a protocol is not decided between Pakistan and Afghanistan then tension will retain among the two countries and blame games will continue.
The negotiations between Islamabad and Kabul should be result-oriented. United States and India are supporting Daesh in Afghanistan.
The Afghan government should have to think for its good and bad.”
