The UK has become the first country to approve Pfizer/BioNTech coronavirus vaccine link for use at a large scale.

British regulator, the MHRA, says the jab, which offers up to 95% protection against Covid-19 illness, is safe for rollout.

The vaccine approved by the UK is a new type called an mRNA vaccine in which a small fragment of genetic code is used from the pandemic virus to enable the body to how Covid-19 and build immunity.

Experts say that the vaccine must be stored at around -70C. Special boxes packed in dry ice will be used to transport it. It can be kept for up to five days in a fridge.
