Hazrat Data Gunj Baksh 972nd Urs celebrations start with religious zeal

LAHORE: The three day celebration of Hazrat Data Gunj Baksh 972nd Urs will begin today. The celebrations will be inaugurated by laying chaddar at the tomb of Data Sahib’s grave. Sabeel of milk will also be inaugurated at the occasion. The inauguration ceremony will be held on 11 am. Minister for Finance and Data Darbar Religious Affairs Committee Chairman Ishaq Dar along with Auqaf and Religious Affairs Minister Atta Muhammad Maneka will be the chief guest of the inauguration ceremony. Computer and language laboratory will also be inaugurated at the occasion. Tight security arrangements have been made by the law Enforcement Agencies to avoid any unpleasant situation. Walk through gates have been placed at all the entrances points. While talking to media, Data Darbar Administrator Dr Noor Awan said that government has taken effective steps to facilitate the devotees. CCTV cameras have been installed to monitor security situation. A large numbers of followers and devotees have reached in Lahore to attend the celebrations of Urs. Intellectuals and spiritual events will be held during the celebrations of Urs. The three day celebrations will be ended with the special prayer at night of December 3.
