RIYADH: Indian PM Narendra Modi arrives in Saudi Arabia

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Saudi Arabia on a two day official  visit.

 

Modi was received by Governor of Riyadh Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdul Aziz upon his arrival.

 

Modi will meet with King Salman to hold talks to strengthen their bilateral relations and also offer security cooperation to counter terrorism.

 

It is expected that both countries will ink several agreements in various fields including trade, energy, defence and security.

 

King Salman will host a lunch in Modi’s honour where he will meet with senior Saudi officials and members of Royal family.

 

Modi will also visit historical places including Masmak Fort.

 

Modi will meet with Indian community workers at Tata Consultancy Services.

 

It is also claimed that Modi will ask the Guardian of two holy mosques to increase Indian quota in Hajj and Indian manpower in Saudi Arabia.

 

Modi the 4th Indian PM to visit Saudi Arabia following Jawaharlal Nehru in 1956, Indira Gandhi in 1982 and Manmohan Singh in 2010.
