Australian all-rounder, Glenn Maxwell has requested the cricket board to give him some time off from cricket to overcome his mental health concerns.
Cricket Australia Team Psychologist, Dr. Michael Lloyd has said that the hard-hitting batsman will take a short break from cricket.
Glenn’s been experiencing difficulties with regards to his mental health. As a result, he’ll spend a short time away from cricket. Glenn was proactive in identifying these issues and engaging with support staff.
Maxwell was a part of the Australia team for the first two T20Is against Sri Lanka, however, he will no longer be available for the last match of the series.
