Pakistan government making efforts for release of Dr Aafia Siddiqui

ISLAMABAD – Minister for Human Rights Shireen Mazari on Wednesday has revealed PTI government efforts for the release of Pakistani neuroscientist Dr Aafia Siddiqui.
She said the government was making utmost efforts to secure the release of Dr Aafia Siddiqui, a Pakistani neuroscientist languishing in US prison.
The minister met Dr Fauzia Siddiqui, the sister of Dr Aafia Siddiqi, and discussed various matters pertaining to the release of the Pakistani neuroscientist.
Mazari said the incumbent government was aware of the difficulties faced by the family of Dr Aafia, adding that efforts were underway to secure her release.
She assured Dr Fauzia that the government would provide every possible assistance to the family and will work tirelessly to secure Dr Aafia Siddiqui’s release.
