Pakistan finance minister hints at inclusion of third party in CPEC

KARACHI – Finance Minister Asad Umar on Thursday has hinted at inclusion of third country in Pakistan China Economic Corridor Project.

He further said that administrative reforms are required to improve the tax system in the country.

He was addressing the World Memon Organization’s Convention in Karachi via video link.

The minister said that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is a project of two states, however, third country can also be included in it.

He said productivity of Pakistan’s agriculture sector will be enhanced by learning from the experiences of China. Countries can double its exports to China by pursuing the right kind of policies, he added.
