Cabinet Committee approves privatization of several state-run entities

The Cabinet Committee on Privatization has approved the privatization of several state-run entities.
The Committee, which met in Islamabad with Finance Minister Asad Umar in the chair, removed Pakistan Steel Mill, PIA, Pakistan Railways, Utility Stores Corporation, National Bank, National Highway Authority, Civil Aviation Authority, Printing and Trading Corporation of Pakistan from the privatization list.
The Committee approved privatization of several institutions which include First Women Bank, Balloki and Haveli Bahadur Shah Power Plants, SME Bank, Jinnah Convention Center, Lakhra Coal Mine, and Services International Hotel.
