FBR directed to simplify existing laws and regulations for promoting trade

The Adviser to Prime Minister on Finance Dr. Abdul Hafeez Shaikh has directed FBR to simplify the existing laws and regulations to help promoting trade with neighbouring countries.
He said this while chairing second meeting of Steering Committee on National Single Window held to review the implementation of the trade related to NSW in Pakistan.
The meeting was given a brief presentation about the concepts and benefits of NSW system and was informed that the its implementation would help promote cross border trade as well as improving the ease of doing business in the country.
It was briefed that establishment of NSW system is a basic requirement, under World Trade Organization Trade Facilitation Agreement as Pakistan is also its signatory.
