Bangladesh ODI skipper Mashrafee bin Mortaza said on Saturday he is ready to travel to Pakistan for the solitary ODI, if selected. Mashrafee said that he will be there if he is needed by Bangladesh cricket adding that he is available for the tour of Pakistan.
However, Mashrafee place is not granted in the team unlike before as the BCB president Nazmul Hassan Papon recently announced that the three-match ODI’s against Zimbabwe will end the reign of Mashrafee as they are looking forward to appoint a long term captain, eying 2023 World Cup.
According to Nazmul if Mashrafe wants to continue cricket, he should prove his performance and match fitness to make him available needs as he is ready to do anything for the sake of the country’s cricket.
Mashrafee, the most successful captain of the country who is currently playing in just ODI format, ended all speculation when question was on his availability during Bangladesh next tour of Pakistan, comprised with one ODI and one Test match in April.
“Firstly I don’t know what will happen after this series but if Bangladesh cricket’s needs me I am ready to go anywhere,’’ Mashrafee told reporters at Sylhet International Stadium on Saturday while replying to a query whether he would tour Pakistan, Cric Frenzy has reported.
