KABUL - Atleast seven militants including insurgents affiliated with the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorist group were killed in the drone strikes conducted in Nangarhar and Kapisa provinces.
The 201st Silab Corps of the Afghan Military in the East said the airstrikes were carried out by the US forces using unmanned aerial vehicles.
The source further added that four ISIIS insurgents were killed after their hideouts were targeted in the airstrikes in Achin district of Nangarhar.
According to Silab Corps, a Dshk heavy machine gun was also destroyed in the airstrike.
In separate drone strikes in Tagab district of Kapisa province at least three militants including one of their commanders were killed.
The Silab Corps said the militants were targeted in Qazian village.
The 201st Silab Corps also added that the local residents of the two provinces and the security personnel have not suffered any casualty in the air raids.
The anti-government armed militant and terrorist groups including ISIS group have not commented regarding the report so far.
